Our upgrade programme for all 4Matrix customers is well underway
Over 300 schools are now using 4Matrix Cloud, and all existing customers will have the opportunity to upgrade before the end of 2025. The next-generation 4Matrix platform is designed to make managing and analysing school data easier, faster, and more flexible.
The first release of 4Matrix Cloud includes 14 data tools for Key Stage 4 (or any 9–1 graded dataset), packed with features to help you get the most from your data:
- Fully cloud-based SaaS solution, replacing the legacy 4Matrix Desktop and 4Matrix Infinity web app
- Simple data import from all major MIS
- Pupil photos visible within tools and reports
- Compare multiple data points within and across cohorts
- Subject Value Added calculations based on national transition matrices
- Pre-programmed qualification settings aligned with DfE specifications
- Single Sign-On with Microsoft & Google
- Multi-tab browsing for easy navigation and flexibility
- 4Matrix Fusion upload tool, for Multi Academy Trusts

Please note:
- For Multi Academy Trusts, the rollout may be managed centrally by trust staff, and we aim to onboard all schools in a trust at the same time.
- The 4Matrix Cloud upgrade is not available for schools in Wales or international schools that do not follow the English curriculum.
