At Greenshaw Learning Trust, we can confidently say that 4Matrix enhances and compliments our data management and analysis.
Our data managers and schools praise the product for its incredible ease of use when uploading data collections - which should only get easier once we move to the cloud version. The process is quick and straightforward, allowing us to see analysis clearly, which is invaluable for timely interventions and strategic planning. The analysis informs everyone, whether it's the school leadership team, a Head of Department, or teacher from the classroom, to understand where they are.
The filter functionality within 4Matrix is exceptionally strong. Student characteristics, once imported, are carried through the entire data series, eliminating repetitive data entry and ensuring consistent, granular insights.
Furthermore, the Fusion MAT tool is equally intuitive. It's very easy to navigate and upload to, providing a clear overview of data submission progress across the Trust, allowing us to quickly identify and support schools which haven't yet completed their uploads.
At the front end, 4Matrix and Fusion provide Schools and the Trust with reliable, comparable data. Gone are the days of manually sending results returns on a spreadsheet! The different measures and representations allow us to tell the story of the data, identifying the salient parts and guiding us towards the corresponding actions that we need to take in schools, and together as a Trust.
High level overviews are clear and easily read, keeping people reliably informed about each school’s journey. Similarly, the granular level of detail which can be accessed about subjects, student groups and individuals helps to keep focus on the really important element of results, i.e. that each grade matters a great deal to the students achieving them, and that better grades amount to improved life chances for each of those individuals. 4Matrix allows our teachers and leaders to support each of our students in getting the best possible grades that give access to exciting futures.

All 19 secondary schools in the Greenshaw Learning Trust use 4Matrix. Our partnership began before the trust was established, working with two of its schools as early as 2010. We were proud to support the inaugural Greenshaw Learning Trust Awards in July 2025, and we look forward to building on our strong partnership in the years ahead.
